Carrousel du Louvre is one of the most exciting places in Paris and can be easily reached within 30 minutes by Metro from Hotel Sophie Germain. Some of the not to be missed events for the coming season include Fotofever, Belles Montres and Le Grand Tasting.

Fotofever Art Fair

Explore diverse images from a host of gifted photographers and dozens of participating galleries at Fotofever from 14^th to 16^th November 2014.  Fotofever is a unique event that was specifically designed to make photography and the world of collecting accessible to everyone. Whether you’re a beginner, an avid collector or simply an interested bystander, the 3^rd edition of this amazing photography fair is certain to inspire you.

Belles Montres, luxury watches

We adore beautiful luxury watches here at Hotel Sophie Germain, so we are delighted to share news of one of the most exclusive exhibitions this autumn. Belles Montres is a heady introduction to the world of watches and timekeeping, and many of the world’s leading names will be in attendance at Carrousel du Louvre from 21^st to 23^rd November. Now in its 8^th edition, Belles Montres is a wonderful chance for you to see iconic timepieces and new products from some of your favourites such as Piaget, Rolex, Patek Philippe and Cartier to discover exciting new brands. While we’re on the subject of Cartier, don’t forget to visit the Cartier Foundation for two terrific new exhibits that commemorate its 30^th anniversary.

Fine wines at Le Grand Tasting

Le Grand Tasting on 28^th and 29^th November is one of those events that make life in Paris so special. Go along to Carrousel du Louvre to discover fine wines with the help of master tasters and experts. Tasting sessions cover some of the finest wines available today, and include Veuve Cliquot, Krug, Mailly, Bollinger and Taittinger.
